Talent Show T-Town’s Got Talent Hosted by THS Vision Can you sing? Dance? Make people laugh? Come show everyone at T-Town’s Got Talent! The big event will be held on Saturday, August 24,2013 at the Teutopolis Grade School Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the curtains rolling back at 7:00. The competition is open to all students from Teutopolis Unit 50. Contestants will be split into three divisions: Little Tykes (K-3), Junior (4-8), and Senior (9-12). The Little Tykes division will be performance only – NO competition – and ribbons will be awarded to all participants in that division. The Junior and Senior divisions will be scored by a panel of judges to rank first place (prize $75) and second place (prize $50). Entry fees are $5 for Little Tykes and $15 for Junior and Senior divisions. Please enclose your entry fee with registration. Auditions will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 10:00 a.m., with the fallback date being Sunday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. We will contact you after you register to provide more information about your audition. If your act is not selected for the talent show, your entry fee will be refunded. If you will be performing in a group act, please have each participant fill out a form and send in all forms together. Lucas is a member of St. Isadore Youth Ministry, Spanish Club, Varsity Club, Math Club, Math Team and National Honor Society. Lucas is an active participant on the THS Cross Country team and the THS Basketball team. He enjoys hunting, swimming, baseball, bow shooting, and hanging out with friends. Lucas credits his motivation to do well to his parents who he states were smart in school. He also has a fear of failure. He feels humbled, honored, and grateful to receive the award. Danielle is a member of the Math Club and the Book Club. She is also active in three sports as a member of the THS volleyball, basketcall, and softball teams. Danielle likes hanging out with friends and going to the movies. She states that her family, friends, and coaches motivate her to do well. Danielle is honored to be chosen as a Rookie of the Month recipient and to know that she stands out. Eddie Siemer has been named TEF's Student of the Year. As Student of the Year, Eddie will receive a $250 scholarship from the Teutopolis Education Foundation. Applicants were asked to write an essay about the importance of a positive attitude. Eddie's personalized account of using a positive attitude was part of what made him a strong candidate. Eddie's furture plans include becoming a pediatrician. Band Trip Uniform Packing Guide. Black shoes with good soles White gloves (WASHED) Hat (hat box) Plume Garment bag (with PLASTIC hangers) Please hang your uniform in the garment bag you were provided as a freshman. Use plastic hangers because wire hangers will tear the garment bag. Use your hat box for your hat, gloves, plume, and cummerbund. Make sure your garment bag AND hat box have your name on them. If needed, have uniform cleaned before trip.
