Mrs. Thompson's Physical Science Classes built Passive Solar heated homes. Students learned about the importance of passive solar heating and they researched passive solar building design with a focus on heating. They applied their research to design and each group built their own model home. We tested each home for thermal gains during the day. Our project was a success! Their homes gained an average of 6 degrees on a sunny 40 degree day.
