The scope of work consists of providing new concrete pavement and sidewalk at the District track complex located to the east of the Jr. High School. The concrete pavement will receive a new set of 250 person bleachers. Work includes excavation, base preparation and concrete placement.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part thereof, to waive any informality in proposal, and to accept proposal deemed most favorable to the Owner.
Award of a contract is anticipated to occur at the November 14, 2022 meeting of the Board of Education. The successful proposal contractor will enter into a Contract Agreement for the work awarded them.
Work may begin following the execution of a Contract Agreement between the District and Contractor, with a substantial completion date of on or before January 16, 2023. The Contract Agreement will have language not limited to the following:
- Prevailing wages requirements in accordance with Effingham County and IL Department of Labor,
- Insurance minimums, including Work Comp, and naming the District as additionally insured,
- Criminal Background fingerprint for all onsite employees,
- Sales Tax exemptions will apply, and
- Final Payment will be made with completion of satisfactory work and receipt of Lien Waivers.
A pre-proposal meeting will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 3:30pm at the job site - Jr.
High School Track. Interested parties should meet in the parking lot west of the track near the
outdoor restroom building. Contractors may also contact the District Maintenance & Grounds
