Miss Mette’s fourth graders enjoyed the book Wishtree by Katherine Applegate. This story is told from the point of view of a wise old oak tree named Red, who is the neighborhood "wishtree". People write their wishes and tie them to Red's branches every year on May Day. Students made their wishes and added them to a “wishtree” at school today.
