These first grade students took their teacher on some adventures this past week. Mrs. Mellendorf got to go frog hunting and mushroom hunting. She played pretend school and even was told she had to become a Cubs fan in one particular household. Keep the adventures coming first grade!

On Earth Day, students in Mrs. Wakefield's 5th Grade ELA class went outside to practice writing figurative language about our beautiful planet. "Dust clouds from the disk danced in the breeze." (personification) "The squirrels are like mini torpedos." (simile) "The green grass is a pillow under my feet." (metaphor)
