A REMINDER:
1. Your Library books are DUE tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6th.
2. Library BINGO Challenge sheets are due tomorrow, as well. Stay tuned for a list of all of our students at TGS who earned a BINGO or a BINGO Blackout!! :)
These first grade students took their teacher on some adventures this past week. Mrs. Mellendorf got to go frog hunting and mushroom hunting. She played pretend school and even was told she had to become a Cubs fan in one particular household. Keep the adventures coming first grade!
Grades Pre K through 12 Packet Pick UP/Drop Off Wednesday, May 6th
Our next Packet Pick Up/ Materials Drop Off date is Wednesday, May 6th from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at each child’s respective school building. Students in grades Pre-K through 12 will need to pick up packet materials and return previous packet assignments. We truly appreciate your continued assistance, time and effort, and patience throughout this Remote Learning Process. If the above date or time does not work for you, please contact your child’s school and leave a message. We will assist!

THS Seniors,
Congratulations, Friday, May 8th, 2020, will be your official last day at Teutopolis High School!!
Senior Packet Instructions for May 6th:
1) All Seniors will need to drop off any outstanding work that cannot be submitted electronically.
2) Seniors will be picking up art folders (please let staff know you have an art folder to pick up), caps and gowns, locker contents and shop projects. Students will pick up shop projects separately in the back of the school. If it is a large project, please provide sufficient transportation. Seniors are welcome to come early at 2pm to begin picking up their items!
3) Chromebooks & chargers, textbooks, library books and any other school issued items (like calculators) will need to be turned in on this day. We will set a later date for collection of items for students who are in dual credit classes that require you to keep items beyond May 6th.
4) Remember to please sign up for your date and time for the "Graduation Walk," found in Google Senior Classroom.

On Earth Day, students in Mrs. Wakefield's 5th Grade ELA class went outside to practice writing figurative language about our beautiful planet.

TJHS 8th Grade Promotion Announcement:
The TJHS 8th Grade Promotion has been postponed to a later date due to Governor Pritzker's Stay at Home Order being extended through May 30th. As soon as we are comfortable in setting the new date, we will notify everyone. Thank you :)
THS Honors Night Announcement:
The THS Honors Night will now be celebrateed as a THS Virtual Honors Night on May 17th. THS Staff will work with student recipients to create this online event. Further information will be forthcoming.
Teutopolis High School Graduation Announcement:
Due to the Governor's Stay at Home Order being extended through May 30th we will be postponing our traditional High School Graduation Ceremony to a later date after the Stay at Home Order is lifted. HOWEVER, Teutopolis School District is pleased to announce that we will be honoring the THS Class of 2020 on May 24th when Teutopolis School District premieres its first ever Teutopolis High School Virtual Graduation Ceremony. THS Staff will be working with senior students and senior parents to prepare an online ceremony to honor our seniors on May 24th. Senior students and families, please be checking your emails for information forthcoming. Please mark your calendars to attend the THS Class of 2020 Virtual High School Graduation on May 24th. Further online airing details, and premiere time will be announced at a later date.
In honor of Earth Day, Mrs. Chojnicki challenged her third graders to make nature people from materials they collected outside.
Reminder: Packet pick ups for students in grades K through 8 on Wednesday, April 22 from 3 to 6 PM. Please return previous packets during this time. High school students will not have packet pick ups on Wednesday, April 22 as assignments are being submitted electronically. Our new trophy case at the high school looks awesome! Thank you to Stevens Industries for donating the trophy case & installation. Thank you to TNT Glass for donating the glass. The Sportbackers plan on having a plaque made to recognize the donation.
Miss Mette’s 4th graders are doing their homework learning about forces and motion...pushing, pulling and friction. This might have been a parental favorite!
