
The TJHS Lady Shoes softball team played their first game of the season today at Olney. The Lady Shoes picked up victory with a final score of 2 to 1. Congratulations Lady Shoes and best of luck the rest of the season!

TJHS Girls and Boys Cross Country practice starts Monday, August 1 from 6:30- 7:30 a.m. Participants will meet in the parking lot at TJHS. Please make sure your child has a current physical on file at the junior high school. Let's get this season started Wooden Shoes!!

The grade school and junior high volleyball camp was held last week at TJHS. Coach Dietz and Coach Munoz, with the help of several high school volleyball players, organized and managed the event. Great job campers!!





The seventh grade students traveled to the Silver Star Skate Center and Mattoon Lanes yesterday to enjoy some bowling and roller skating. Fun times in junior high!!





Every year the 7th graders at Teutopolis Junior High participate in the Americanism Essay Contest hosted by the American Legion Post 924. This year's topic was Patriotism: How We Are More Alike Than Different.
Winning first place this year was Lanie Stanford, daughter of Troy and Stacy Stanford. Second place went to Adelyn Kinkelaar, daughter of Nick and Jenny Kinkelaar. Third place went to Marshall Stone, son of Shane and Sara Stone.
Lanie's essay went on to the District Division where she won third place!
Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to the American Legion Post 924 for hosting the contest again.

The Spring Bike to School Event took place this morning! We had great weather with a great turnout! Besides a flat tire or two and some spills, the event was a HUGE success. Thanks to all TJHS staff and students that participated!

Seventh grade students in Mr. Niemerg's science class were learning about buoyancy this week. A buoyancy lab was conducted today to reinforce what students had learned.

Mrs. Gaddis’ and Mrs. Deters’ exploratory class was excited to have Mrs. Jansen’s kindergarten class to the junior high today! Junior high students produced a book for each student and read the book to him/her while enjoying some snacks and a drink.
